There are 60,000+ plugins in the WordPress repository. Most reviews rank them by star ratings and feature lists. That's not useful when you're deciding what to install on a client site that needs to stay up for three years.
The plugins reviewed here are evaluated on criteria that matter in production: performance impact (database queries per page load, frontend JS/CSS footprint), maintenance burden (how often does it break on WP updates, how responsive is support), real agency use (what we actually install on client sites vs what looks good in demos), and long-term stability (ownership history, update frequency, support forum response time).
The plugin categories I cover most: SEO plugins (Rank Math vs Yoast vs SEOPress — this one actually matters for schema and GSC integration), form plugins (WPForms, Gravity Forms, Fluent Forms — the differences are bigger than they look), caching plugins (WP Rocket, LiteSpeed, W3TC — your host matters here), security plugins (what's actually useful vs security theatre), and page builders (Elementor, Bricks, Breakdance — the most contentious category in WordPress).
I don't review plugins I haven't used on real sites. I disclose affiliate relationships where they exist (some plugins here have affiliate programmes), but every recommendation is based on what I would actually install — the affiliate relationship doesn't change the score.
